One of the great perks of connecting with so many fellow shop owners is the chance to see so much creativity at work! Teeny Bug Creations is no exception, with a colorful line of not only bows but also skirts, and with the hope of expanding to leggings, dresses and rompers in 2016!

What is the meaning behind your store name?
When I was trying to come up with a name, I went through all the nick names I called my daughter Lily. She was the reason I was opening up the shop so it seemed fitting. I always call her my little teeny and my husband and son call her bug woman. So I combined the two names to get Teeny Bug.
What challenges do you find in running your own shop?
I am a wife, mom of three (ages 13, 10 and 2) and we have 2 dogs. My biggest challenge is getting time to sew. My two year old takes a two hour nap everyday so I call it my nap time hustling time. I forbid my husband and kids from bothering me during that time ha ha. Sometimes I even sew after she goes to bed.
Where does your inspiration come from?
My inspiration comes from everyday life. Whether it's watching a movie with my kids, reading online what is new and upcoming in movies or just daydreaming (when I actually get a free moment to myself) about colors and patterns.
What do you like to do when you're not creating?
I am being a mom and housewife. Monday is laundry day and a Joann's trip, Tuesday bathrooms, Wednesday's grocery shopping etc. It starts by getting my two older kids off to school, one of them being a teenage girl. Once a week we have speech for my two year old, so it's non-stop all week.
