Happy Accidents Rainbow Distress Ink Blending with Lynnea Hollendonner

Hi, all! It's Lynnea and I'm back with another video tutorial where I made two cards using some simple rainbow ink blending and diecutting with the Happy Accidents stamp set! Let's get started!

I started by grabbing some of my favorite Distress Inks onto some Bristol Smooth cardstock. I used - Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin, Fossilized Amber, Mowed Lawn, Blueprint Sketch, and Wilted Violet. I mentioned in the video that this is my first time blending Distress Inks onto Bristol Smooth cardstock - and though the inks blend like butter - I found that they aren't as vibrant as they are on regular cardstock. So - in the video my green was Twisted Citron and I ended up switching that for the Mowed Lawn and my blue Mermaid Lagoon to Blueprint Sketch. I blended two panels in the same rainbow of colors and flicked some water onto each panel. Then I stamped and colored the character from the Happy Accidents stamp set on watercolor cardstock.

I wanted to add some interest to the backgrounds, so I used a cover die and die cut it from another piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock and used liquid glue to adhere it to the front of one panel. I added my sentiment strip and character from the Happy Accidents stamp set with foam squares on top of the die cut panel. This one is definitely my favorite of the two!

I used the same background die for the second card, but this time I die cut the inked background and added it to a white card base. I added the sentiment strip and character to my card with foam squares once again and added some black Nuvo Drops. I didn't think the drops looked quite right so I didn't add them to the other card. You can watch my process video here! Thanks for stopping by! And be sure to head over to the Kindred Stamps store and fill up your cart!
