Introducing our next Design Team!

Hello!

Last month we said goodbye to our previous design team, everyone there was so incredibly talented, we will miss them! But don't worry! We have a new team that is just as talented!

We would like to introduce you to our new team! Amber, Courtney, Maria, Tanya, and Ashlea are sure to impress the socks off of you!

Amber

Hello, My name is Amber MacMurtry. I am a 30something wife and mother to an amazing, 4 year old CP warrior from Vermont. I have been crafting in some way or another for most of my life, but I began paper crafting in 2001, when my baby sister was born. I began a scrapbook for my stepmother featuring the tiniest member of the family. I was never much of a scrapbooker though, as evidenced by that unfinished scrapbook, still in my stash 16 years later. Sometime around 2008, I decided I would "save some money and make my own Christmas cards." It's fine, I'll wait while you finish laughing. Approximately 8 weeks and hundreds of dollars later, I was hooked and have never looked back. I didn't start out as a stamper, but about 5 years ago, I invested in my first few Alcohol markers, and that was a game changer for me. From that moment on, I have been in love with stamping and coloring cute, fun and interesting images--which means Kindred Stamps fit right into my favorite crafting style! I am thrilled to be on the summer design team and look forward to inspiring you with these amazing Kindred products!

I live in upstate NY and have been crafting my whole life but paper crafting and card making for the last 8 years. My style is clean and simple. I love creating scenes and with as much masking and coloring as possible. I work full time as an auto claims adjuster and have 2 fur babies.

Tanya

Hello friend! My name is Tanya Boser, and I live near Bemidji, Minnesota. Out in the woods, and the end of a dead-end road. Yes, It is cold here. Yes, there is continuous snow on the ground from December to April, at least. No, I don't love winter for 7 months... but that is what vacations are for, lol! And summer and fall in Minnesota are pure magic, so it is worth the icky parts. Plus, no hurricanes or earthquakes!
I have been a papercrafter since about 2005. My crafty resume includes being a member of the 2017 Artisan Design Team for Stampin' Up!, the creator and manager of the Stamp Review Crew, and a SpiltCoasterStamper Creative Crew Member in 2016. I am thrilled to be on the Design Team for Kindred Stamps for July thru September of this year!  Watercolor techniques and embossing of all kinds are some of my favorite things, as color and texture are my jam! (BTW, I use far too many exclamation points, and emojis.) My family and I are absolute Sci-Fi geeks, and finding Kindred Stamps was so amazing!! There are so many amazing pop cultures stamps that scratch that very special itch for us :)
In the real world, I am and ER nurse in my local hospital. It is a stressful job, and it takes everything I have to keep up a positive attitude. Papercrafting helps me with this as it is a fabulous way to be creative, and get outside of my head. There are oodles of us medical professionals out there that feel the same way. Shout out to my peeps!
For my family life, I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 28 years. No, I am not old. I heard that! 46 is not old. And I bet I can run circles around most of you puppies ;) Yes, I am a grandma. To 5½ beautiful grands. My daughter is prego with her first! I have 4 adult children, and they are all married, or as good as. And we are down to 1 dog, a 16 year old golden retriever named Lily. Don't tell her she is old, she doesn't know it! We used to have 10 people living in our house, with 6 dogs, 3 cats, a rabbit, and various other critters. We like critters. We spend loads of time with our family, which makes me happy. But it does cut into my creative time, lol! Have you ever tried to craft with family around? How well does that go for you?

Ashlea

Ashlea is a passionate card maker living in Boston, MA. She mostly designs clean and simple cards with pops of color and fun techniques to add interest. She’s fairly new to the card making community but has had a real passion for paper crafting since before she can remember. When she isn’t crafting you can find her with her two young children, Chloe and Corey. But, they’re probably still crafting ;)

Maria

Hello everyone! My name is Maria Russell and I am from Orlando, FL.  I have a home in Florida but also have a home overseas which is why I have two design studios.  My husband and I are empty-nesters now so we do a lot of traveling, both for work and pleasure.  I have been crafting and junk journaling since high school but developed my LOVE for stamps since 2013.  I love fun and cheerful designs, especially creating scenes for my card but I also love clean and simple.  I love listening to music while I create.  I love the paper crafting community and I am so blessed and honored to be a part of a few Design Teams.  I am always inspired by other paper crafters and made a lot of good friends along the way.   I hope that I will also inspire you to get creative with me.
