Hi Guys!
It's Rachel here, I'm so excited to share my take on "Friends With Pep" today. This set is in our "Last Chance" section so don't wait to snag it!
I wanted to keep it simple, and make a card that I could give to any of my friends. I started by coloring up the small town girl and the big city girl using Prismacolor colored pencils. I've been on a kick trying to learn to use these more and have to say it's fun to use a different medium!
For the small town girl I kept to very classic "girly" colors and a lighter skin tone. The big city girl gave me a bit more of a challenge, since I wanted to depict a Hispanic skin tone, and like I said, I'm still learning to used these pencils, I had to try twice on her face because my first attempt ended up blotchy after I used my blender pencil. Her hair and clothes both are shades of black, for her hair I used warm grays to add depth and for her clothes I used the cooler grays.

I received some cut down paper from a friend and thought the slightly retro feel of the mint and gold patterned paper was perfect for this card. l added two strips of a pink and gold striped washi tape from Zulily, then layered the sentiment which I stamped using Delicata Black so it has a slight shimmer to it.
To finish my card, I added 3 black enamel dots to the top right corner from an Echo Park pack.
I hope you've enjoyed, and go snag a set of "Friends with Pep" of your own while you can! You can find me at my blog to see what I'm up to all month long!
