Meow's Things?
October 04, 2018
Hello Kindred Crafters! Amber here, taking over the blog one final time to share a cute card featuring the adorable kittens from the
You're Purrfect stamp set.
I've been a bit obsessed with rainbows recently, and decided to incorporate them into my card today.
I started by coloring those kitten cuties on 65# smooth white cardstock, with Copic Markers, before fussy cutting them out. Next, I die cut a waving music staff from my stash out of the same cardstock, and colored it in rainbow order, also with my copics. I adhered the staff directly to the card front, and the kitties on it, like music notes. At this point, I decided I needed a background, so I selected a multi dot stencil from my stash and ink blended some
Spun Sugar distress ink around my colored images, being very careful not to ruin them, and fading the stenciling out at the edges. I decided my card needed a touch more rainbow, but I couldn't find colors that matched the Copic coloring exactly, so I decided to draw my own border with markers. As an added little touch, I added black dots and an outline to the border with a fine tip, black Sharpie.
I stamped a few of the music note images around the kitties in Memento London Fog ink, coloring them with a slight ombre using two grey C markers. Next I stamped the "Meow's Things" sentiment in the lower right corner, using Versafine Onyx Black ink. Finally, because I can't make a card that doesn't have at least SOME bling, I used my Sakura Clear Stardust pen to add sparkle to the music notes and g-clef.

I hope you enjoyed my card today. It has been an honor representing
Kindred Stamps these past three months. I have made a couple of great new crafty friends and fell in love with a fantastic product! I hope I've inspired you, at least a little bit. Happy Crafting!
