The Trouble with Celebration

Hi, everyone! Rachel B here today with a new card using the Space Explorers set! I'm a sci-fi nerd and this cute little set just speaks to my heart. I did a ton of masking to create this tiny scene, but it was so worth it!

I started off by stamping and cutting 6 masks so that I could stack up my cute little "furry creatures." I know it's easy to sometimes overlook the little stamps in your set, but masking is a great technique to help you make the most of those tiny images. Here, I've used one tiny stamp to create an entire scene! I just began stamping and then masking after each stamp so that I could create a whole pile of "furry creatures." I even added one to the top of my Captain's head! The very last thing I stamped was actually the captain because I wanted him to appear to be covered by my little pile.

When I was done stamping, I removed all of my masks and used my copics to color in my images. I added a bit of warm gray below my scene to create my "ground" so my images wouldn't appear to be floating. When I was done coloring, I adhered my panel to a top-folding A2 size card base to finish it all off.

Thanks for joining me today!
