Glitter Hair In the Air

Hello friends! I am excited to share my first Kindred Stamp Design Team card with you. This card features the Hair in the Air a 3"x 4" stamp set from Kindred Stamps. These little guys are so fun and joyful I wanted to make a background that was just as whimsy. Don't you just love the hair? I felt adding a bit of glitter paper would provide some added bling. Here is how I made this sunny background

I am having such fun playing with Distress inks and Oxide inks. You can see a little bit of water splashes go a long way. I initially sponge daubed yellow and added various blues with a base of brown to make this background. I splashed, sprayed and sprinkled drops of water on the page drying in between application until I achieved a look I liked.

For our big haired buddies, I remembered I had a pink and purple glitter papers. I stamped the image on the glitter paper using a stamp positioner. I had to stamp it a couple of times since glitter paper has a slight texture. After fussy cutting the glitter hair, I stamped out the images on white cardstock and colored them with my alcohol markers. I glued on the glitter hair after cutting out the out the big hair buddies. And now they are ready to sing and dance!
