I love the simple, whimsical design of the Doodle Alphabet sets! They are great for so many techniques! You can mix and match these large letters with smaller sentiments in your Kindred stash, stamp them on patterned paper and create your own stickers ... the ideas are endless! I decided to keep it simple today and do a watercolor emboss resist technique.
For my first card I decided to use the Doodle Uppercase stamp set just as it came and stamp the whole alphabet at once to create a background that covers my whole card. I taped the Doodle Uppercase stamp set onto the door of my MISTI and inked up the stamp with Versamark Ink and heat embossed the background with white embossing powder. I used three shades of pink Arteza Real Brush Pens to quickly add a wash of color to my background.
I decided to mix the Doodle Uppercase and Doodle Lowercase stamp sets on my second card. I used my MISTI to stamp the "hello" from the Doodle Lowercase stamp set and the "friend" from the Doodle Lowercase stamp set in the center of my card. I chose to blend a light green and blue marker together to create my background. This time the white embossing didn't pop as much as I wanted it to, so I went back in with a dark teal marker and colored in the letters.
I hope these cards have given you some Doodle Alpha inspiration! I'll see you soon!
