Simple National BBQ Day Scene with Lynnea Hollendonner

Summer is right around the corner! And hopefully that means you're going to pull out your grill and make something yummmyyyyy!! I'm using the Wacky Holiday National BBQ Day stamp set and making a simple little scene!

I needed a stenciled background (of course!) so I used the Candy Cane Stencil with some yellow ink for a fun striped background. Candy cane stripes aren't just for the Holidays! I stamped and colored my cute little images from the National BBQ Day stamp set and trimmed them out with a white border.

I created a cute little outdoors scene using some dies in my stash. First I die cut a scalloped rectangle from white cardstock and the same scalloped rectangle from green cardstock. Then I cut a grass border from the green rectangle so that I would have a grassy border that perfectly fits the scalloped rectangle background. I added little blobs of blue inks for clouds.
