We are very much in love with our own Rachel Winn's Spoonie Squad creations.
A "Spoonie," if you didn't know, is a reference to a person who suffers from chronic illness, pain or limited energy. The idea behind it is that a person only has so many "spoons" to get them through the day, each activity costs that person a spoon, and after they are out of spoons then they just can't. Different days have different amounts of spoons depending on your personal issues and what is going on in your life.
This is a concept that is very dear to Rachel, as she suffers from Fibromyalgia. Some days are good days for her, others she struggles with, a lot. And she's not alone! This set isn't just for those with Fibromyalgia, it is for anyone who relates to the sentiments! Hannah, one of our other Creative Team Members suffers from IBS, occasional agoraphobia, and migraines, sometimes these sentiments resonate with her as well.
Rachel's Blog post talks about her cards that she's made, as well as a bit about her life. You should check it out, it is helpful and full of information.
Aren't these cards great?
There are more cards to be viewed on her blog, which can be found here.
